Who Should Be Nominated?

  • Independent recording artists based in Africa
  • Artists without a major label deal throughout the full eligibility period

Qualifying Criteria

    African artist with no major label deal during the eligibility period
  • 2
    Demonstrated significant independent commercial or audience growth
  • 3
    Released original music during the eligibility period
  • 4
    Achieved measurable streaming milestones, media coverage, or touring activity
  • 5
    Independently managed and distributed music
